Camp Bestival, Lulworth Cove, Dorset

Camp Bestival was wet and windy this year! More than half our team lost their tents and had to go home early. Due to the weather, the night parades were cancelled and we did one parade on Saturday morning. Tiger dancer costumes went out for the first time.

Royal IW County Show

A new and unusual setting for us to perform. A short dance set at the Royal IW County Show, Cowes, had our pigs, sheep and chickens performing side by side with the real creatures.

EPIC Entrance for Strongbow

Shademakers joined Area 51 and Batala to create an Epic Entrance for Strongbow winners going to the Isle of Wight Festival. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPMH1W0xKrM An afternoon of filming at Sandown Airport was followed by a parade at the IW Festival on Friday 9th June.

Hullabaloo

Our first Hullabaloo went well, with unexpected crowds of up to 5000 people. Musicians, dancers, carnival performers and artists worked alongside charities, businesses and community groups to put on a free day of events and activities for local people.
